Our table designs can be as simple as a stem of orchids in a glass or as ornate and decorative as candelabra dressed in flowers – the sky’s the limit.  Your flowers may be in a decorative container (vase, bowl, etc) or the container may be purely functional and totally hidden by flowers and/or foliage.  When choosing your flowers we suggest you consider the factors outlined below, they will help ensure that your flowers are congruent with the venue and occasion. 

For events, we are happy to visit the venue itself to ascertain decoration details, etc.  For this service there is a consultation charge of £20.  Special arrangements apply to wedding bookings, please ask for more details.

Once you have decided on the type of flower design you would like please let us know and we will provide you with a detailed quotation. Delivery costs will depend upon the number and size of designs and thus, the transport required;  we will advise you of the cost in your quotation.  If you do not want the items delivered to the venue but would like them delivered elsewhere then please let us know.

 

Vase Hire

Our glass and ceramic vases and containers can be hired rather than bought.  We will require a deposit which will be refunded once the vases have been collected and found to be all present and intact.  Any missing or damaged items must be paid for and the costs of such items will be subtracted from your deposit where applicable. A collection charge is also applicable, the cost of which will depend upon the number and size of items (eg collection of six large vases from central Plymouth - £5.00).

The cost of hiring vases depends upon the value of the particular vase; however, the following examples give you an idea of the charges: 

Small clear vase - £1.00

Medium clear vase - £2.00

Large clear vase - £3.00

Extra large clear vase – 4.00

For customers who have a contract with us for the supply of flower arrangements or bouquets in vases on a regular basis (such as weekly or monthly), vase hire is free. 

 Table Decorations

When choosing your table decoration you need to take into consideration the following:

The size of the table

A small table for two can be  decorated with a small vase and 1-3  flowers and foliage.  This could, for  example, comprise lower cost flowers  such as Germini (small Gerbera) or  Carnations or more exotic flowers such as  Anthuriums or Orchids.  Prices for these  arrangements start at £3.00 if the vase is  hired or £5.00 if the vase is purchased.

Larger tables, particularly those seating 8 -10 people will require a larger floral display.  In order that your guests can easily see each other when seated your flowers should either be lower than face height or slim but tall so that any flower heads are above head height.  Prices for a low circular flower arrangement of around 30 – 45cm, without a decorative container and containing simpler/seasonal flowers  would start from £20.  A similar design with more lavish flowers such as large Roses, etc would cost £40.  Tall designs with a few architectural flowers start at £25.

The shape of the table

Longer tables will require arrangements that run along the length.  These can be individual arrangements placed evenly or could be a continuous floral display or garland, etc.

The decoration of the venue

What colour will your table cloths be? How is the room decorated (colours, period, theme, textiles, etc)?  You will want to make sure that your flowers will enhance the venue rather than clash with their surroundings.  Neutrals such as whites, creams and greens look good with most colours but colours that specifically complement the surroundings can look truly fabulous. 

Your theme

Perhaps your event has a nautical theme or you want a particularly glitzy Hollywood appearance.  Perhaps you would like flowers that fit with the period of the building eg Elizabethan or Art Deco.  If you have a specific theme in mind then please let us know and we will use this as the basis of the design.

Your budget

If you have a specific budget for your flower arrangements then please let us know, we can then provide you with appropriate options from which to choose.
