So why choose seasonal flowers?
Seasonal flowers help us mark the different phases of the year. The first Narcissi provide a promise that the winter gloom will soon be gone and that spring will soon be here. Paeonies signal the start of summer, strawberries and cream, longer days. Helianthus (Sunflowers) take us towards Autumn. Big blowsy Chrysanthemums herald crisp mornings, chestnuts and pumpkin soup. As winter approaches, we see the arrival of Ilex berries, Hippeastrum flowers and then the silvery, furry cat-toes of the Pussy willow (Salix).
Another good reason to buy seasonal flowers is that they are tremendous value for money. When we are able to buy flowers more cheaply we pass these savings on to our customers. We can either provide you with a lower cost item or provide you with more flowers for your money.
Many of the seasonal flowers come from local growers, so by purchasing them you are choosing flowers that have travelled fewer airmiles and you are supporting the local economy.
